B. S.  in Mathematics Tulane University

MST Loyola University New Orleans, Louisiana;

Leadership Licensure University of Tennessee

    I started my teaching career in Virginia where I attended Old Dominion University. Since I was a military wife, I moved to Florida where I taught at San Jose Catholic School.  Here I had the privilege of teaching kindergarten through eighth grade.  I taught both mathematics and music.  One of the highlights of teaching there was directing the school Christmas play.  My next teaching position was at Jesuit High School in New Orleans , Louisiana.  While there, I served as the Mathcounts coach and co-moderator of the Jayettes.  I also taught middle school and high school mathematics for fifteen years.  Then Hurricane Katrina blew into the city and my path changed.  As soon as I had helped my family to resettle, I began teaching at Ooltewah High School where I taught Geometry for three years.  From OHS, I moved to SMMHS where I have been teaching for five years.

My husband and I moved to Tennessee from New Orleans, Louisiana.  I have four children, James, 20, Joseph, 16, Julia, 15, and Jessica, 11.  They are wonderful!!  All of them have had the privilege of attending SMMHS.  When I am not supporting them at a soccer game, track meet, or in the theatre, I am swimming at the pool or cooking up a new dish.
