After completing my teaching certifcation, I began my teaching career in Knoxville where I taught at Knoxville Catholic High School for 2 years. After leaving Knoxville, I moved to Nashville for 10 years. While in Nashville I taught at Brentwood High School and Smyrna High School. In order to be closer to family, I moved to Chattanooga where I began teaching at Ooltewah Middle School and Hunter Middle School. When SMMHS opened, I was one of the original faculty members. During my career, I have taught 6th through 12th grade Spanish.

¡Hola! My name is Tracy Haydon and I am a native of Knoxville Tennessee; where I attended the Webb School of Knoxville and then the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. My family is originally from San Diego and I spent much time there visiting my grandparents in the summer. There I was introduced to the Spanish language and architectural style. My classes in Spanish language and literature in college increased my passion for the language and culture. After teaching in Knoxville for a few years, I moved to Nashville. Though I am not a fan of country music, I am definitely a fan of Music City. While in Nashville, I received my Master of Education degree from Middle Tennessee State University. When I am not teaching, I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, and reading.
