Head Coach

Ms McClain is starting her 12th year of coaching Middle School Cheerleading at SMMHS. Elizabeth has received training in coaching each year from UCA and Elite Cheerleading. Her team has brought home first and second place trophies every year from competing in the UCA Cheerleading Camp competitions. Her girls have completed and organized several community service projects each year for the Chattanooga community. Projects include buying gifts from the sharing tree for people in need, collecting items for the Chattanooga Zoo, and a lunchbox drive to give to students in need. This year we are Teaming up with Saint Jude Children's Hospital. The girls have sent out forms to community members in hopes of getting donations for the hospital. This hospital does not charge any family .

Ms McClain believes cheerleaders are the role models for the school. The girls not only show spirit and cheer at games but must also maintain grades, are respectful and show kindness to others at the school and the community.

Coach McClain received a BFA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Master's Degree from Carson Newman University.

Cheerleading is a time for fun and for building up the community and school. This is a time for learning skills and developing positive character traits.
