Summer schedule for boys HS basketball:
June 1-4 10am-noon practice
June 8-11 10am-noon practice; 1pm-3pm host camp
June 15-18 10am-noon practice; 1pm-3pm host camp
***Any boy interested in trying out for the HS Boys Basketball team can join us for the first day of Summer workouts June 1 at 10am.  The first hour will be in the MS gym, the second hour will be in the HS gym (ends at Noon). You must have an up-to-date (current) physical in Final Forms to be able to participate.  If you have any questions, contact Coach Redman at 423.762.9313.***  

High School Bowling

Bowling for 2026 – 2027 Season!!!

We are always looking for bowlers and next season is no exception!!! We have a boys team and a separate girls team.

The High School teams are open to all students in grades 8 – 12 and tryouts will be Monday, August 24, 2026 and Wednesday, August 26, 2026. You do not need to be at both tryout dates but you do need to have all paperwork filled out in Final Forms before tryouts in August. 

No experience or equipment required. The time commitment for the regular season can be as little or as much as your schedule will allow. I’ve had several students over the years that participate in other Fall/Winter activities including band, cross country, etc.

If you THINK you might be interested in joining the team, please join us in June and July for summer practices just for fun. These practices are just once a week and at your leisure. We will have practices on June 4, 11, 18, July 9, 16, 23, 30.  The regular season starts with tryouts in August and ends in early December unless we make the postseason (we usually make the postseason with at least one if not both teams) which carries over into January. *UPDATE* – Thanks for your interest in playing High School Golf.  With tryouts expecting to be competitive, there will be 2 rounds of tryouts.  The first round is expected to be Wednesday 6/17/26 (timing TBD) at the Green Building at SMMHS, and will consist of putting, chipping, swing analysis, and short Q&A.  This will be by appointment time, which will be posted after sign-ups are concluded.  The second round is expected to be after the Dead Period on Monday, 7/6/26 and will be at SMGCC, and will likely be a playoff style on course.

  • The Signal Mountain Girls’ Lacrosse program is coming off a historic season, finishing with an 11–6 record and its first-ever DI-A Region 3 Title! We are excited to continue building on this momentum heading into the 2026–2027 season.
  • There will be no summer team activities, but all returning players are encouraged to be active in summer/travel ball opportunities. Fall Open Field sessions will begin Monday, August 31, 2026.
  • Full-team TSSAA allotted practices will take place in the evenings November 9–13 and November 16–20, 2026.
  • We will field both JV and Varsity teams for the 2026–2027 season.
  • Any players interested in joining the program should contact Coach Dillard ASAP at dillard_reed@hcde.org to be added to team email communications.

Middle School Bowling

MS Bowling is open to all students in grades 6 – 8 and our Spring session will begin Friday, February 13, 2026 .  We will bowl every Friday for 8 weeks at SpareTime Hixson from 4:15 – 5:30. We will bowl Feb 13, 20, 27, Mar 6, 27, Apr 10, 17, 24 to get around Spring Break and Holidays.
It is a very casual atmosphere with a little bit of coaching sprinkled in. The goal is for the kids to have fun bowling and with their friends. There are no tryouts for MSXC. However, any student planning to run this Fall MUST have a current sports physical uploaded to FinalForms prior to their first practice with the team. (It must be dated on or after April 15, 2026.) All other forms found on the link provided below must also be signed and uploaded prior to the first practice as well.

(If any forms are missing or haven’t been approved by the trainer, your athlete will not be eligible to practice with the team. No exceptions!)

With the large number of girls that tried out for middle school volleyball, Coach Bergren & Coach Mitchell would like to add an additional day of tryouts on Monday, July 28…9-11. If you came on Thursday (7/24), return for day #2 of tryouts in the HS gym. Be sure that all of your documents have been completed on the Final Forms platform (updated physical, insurance info, etc). There is a link on the school website in the athletic section under “Student & Parent Athletic Forms” that will provide info concerning Final Forms if you have questions.
