Dear SMMHS Families and Students,
We are excited to welcome students back on Wednesday, August 5th, for the first day of school! We have been working hard preparing for the 2026–27 school year and look forward to seeing everyone soon. Here are a few registration reminders as we get closer to the first day:
Student Registration
Have you completed your student’s registration for the upcoming school year? Remember, you can now upload your proofs of residency through the Parent Portal. Any student who has not registered by August 3rd will need to register in person and bring two proofs of residency and any updated immunization records. Click here to register your student online today!
New Student Registration Day
New Student Registration Day will be held on Monday, August 3rd, from 9:00–11:00 a.m. This drop-in event is for all new SMMHS families and for families who need technical assistance with the online registration process. Families can park in the student parking lot and enter through the main school entrance, where we will have a check-in table to guide you through the process.
6th Grade Orientation
6th Grade Orientation is a separate event for all incoming 6th grade students and their parents on Monday, August 3rd, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in the high school gym. Please refer to the email from our 6th grade counselor, Ms. Donen, for additional orientation details.
Student Schedules
Returning students will be able to view their schedules through the PowerSchool Student or Parent Portal by the end of the day on Monday, August 3rd. We understand that not all families will be able to access PowerSchool. To accommodate those families, we will distribute schedules to all students on the first day of school. Students requesting schedule changes should contact their grade-level school counselor. Middle school students should complete a paper request form available in the counseling office. High school students should email their counselor directly.
Additional back-to-school information, including first-day procedures and other important reminders, will be shared later this week.
Go Eagles!
