Morning Announcements
High school:
Tonight is Rivalry Night at the Nest.
Our Flag Football girls face Hixson and Red Bank tonight starting at 5:30. These region matchups will matter significantly in the Playoff seeding. See Signal v Hixson at 5:30 and Signal v Red Bank about 7:45. If you haven’t seen them play, make your way there. Don’t miss a second!
Seniors: Next week we will be nominating candidates for Prom King and Queen. If you do not wish to be considered for either title, please contact Dr. Shaw by this Friday. Look for a voting link on Monday in managebac.
2026 Sport Physicals will be on:
-April 18 (8-11:30) at Erlanger Primary Care South/60 Erlanger South Drive, Suite A Ringgold, GA
-May 16 (8-11:30) at Erlanger Sports Medicine/1100 E. 3rd Street, Suite G-102 Chattanooga, TN
-Erlanger affiliated schools: Grades 9-12 no charge/Grades 6-8 $15
The SMMHS Jr/Sr Prom will be held on Friday, April 17th at The Common House from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Tickets are $60.00 each with online sales running til April 16th and in-person sales taking place during high school lunches through April 16th Guest forms are available in the front office to pick up and will be due back no later than April 15th. Sophomores who attend as a guest of an upperclassman will also be required to complete a guest form this year. Freshmen students are not eligible to attend. Per Mr. Carson’s weekly email and the student handbook, please don’t forget that all students must attend at least a half day on the 17th in order to attend prom in the evening.
Middle School:
After a goal scored on them, the Screaming Eagles stepped up to a soccer victory in the land of Little Debbies. Jackson Pickett got the Eagles back on track with a goal straight from a corner kick and Barrett Ashton added to it with a goal of his own. Blevin Johnson capped off the scoring with a Top Benz. Johnson and Luke Rivers also had assists to help finish the game at 3-1 Eagles. Come out tomorrow to watch both teams play East Lake. Action starts at 5:00 pm down on the pitch!
There will be no Creative Writing or Chess After School on Monday during TCAPS.
