Morning Announcements

High School:

If you are interested in participating in online Quiz Bowl or the World History Bee, US History Bee, or International Geography Bee, see Mrs. Whitney. Registration will end on Friday, 10/2/2020.

If you are interested in joining the SMMHS Climbing Club for the 2020-2021 season, please email Ms. Horn. this is for grades 6-12.

Anyone interested in joining Mu Alpha Theta a math honor society, should get an application from their math teacher and return it with money to Mrs. Stubblefield, room 2124 by Friday 10/2. Math contests and tutoring will begin in October.

HS robotics will meet Wednesday after school 3-3:30

Do you like science, technology, and competition? Then you should come to the TSA interest meeting on Zoom on Wednesday the 30th at 3:45! TSA offers a wide variety of competitions ranging from fashion design to race cars and everything in between. To receive the Zoom code, fill out the Google form sent to your Directed Studies teachers.

Middle School:

MS robotics will meet Tuesday after school 3-3:30

MS boys basketball tryouts are scheduled for the week of October 5th-9th. Tryouts will be split by grade. All information and forms are on the school website under 'MS boys basketball'. They must be completed in order to tryout.
Middle school student-athletes who are interested in trying out for soccer need to sign up on the school website.
Boys' tryouts will be on October 5th and 7th and Girls' tryouts on October 6th and 8th.

All 6,7, and 8th grade girls interested in trying out for Middle School Volleyball should attend an informational meeting on Thursday, October 1 at 3 PM in the High School Gym.

Middle School Volleyball Season tryouts will be held just before winter break - the week of December 14-18. Practices and games begin when we return from Winter Break in January. Please contact Coach Kim Rackel with questions.
