Morning Announcements 

High School:  

There will be no lunches in the Media Center for today and Friday.  

The lost and found will be cleared out tomorrow at the end of the day so be sure and claim your lost items before then.  

We continue Holiday Week with tacky sweater dress-up day. Student Council officers will be looking for the best outfits throughout the day, and prizes will be announced for students and faculty this afternoon. Did you see one of the elves? Then let a teacher know. The first middle school students and first high school student to spot the elf and tell a teacher will be eligible to win the daily elf prize. Mrs. Donen and Dr. D. in the school counseling office will take calls on a first come first served bases, and the elf winners will be announced later today with our dress-up winners. Tomorrow is the last day with red and white candy cane day. The best dressed high school students may be given a ticket for the holiday Photo Booth during DS. 

FBLA membership meeting is today after school at 2:50 pm in RM 2213..  It is not too late to join!  Do you want to work on your leadership skills? Get better at public speaking? Or earn a scholarship for college? Come join FBLA where we work through real world business challenges. If interested in joining FBLA contact Erik Fowler for more information

Art 1 students - please submit payment for Disney trip online or turn in a check to Ms. McClain. If there is an art 1 student that is interested in going please see Ms. McClain today.

Strings, Chorus and theatre students please submit Disney payment to your arts teacher or pay online. 

The Last day for the threads of care coat drive is tomorrow.  Please bring in coats, jackets, sweatshirts, or other cold weather clothing to volunteers at the high school entrance at the start of each school day. All donations will be given to a homeless shelter in Chattanooga for the winter season.”  

Interested in joining TEAMS, a high school competition for students interested in math, science, and engineering?   Deadline to sign up and pay $25 per person you can pay online or in person fee is due tomorrow Friday December 9.

There is a Chess Tournament for both Middle and High School Students in Chattanooga on December 10th.  Both Rated and Unrated players may participate. If you are interested, come by Jamie Brock's room next to guidance to pick up an information packet and sign up. 

Middle School: 

Math Counts Club will start up for Middle Schoolers tomorrow January 9th. Please stop by Mrs. Brock's room to sign up and get the practice packet for the first meeting in January.

Tomorrow  12/9 at 9:25 the qualifying test for the History Bee, Geography Bee and the Science Bee for SMMHS Middle School 6th, 7th and 8th Graders will be given in Jamie Brocks classroom next to guidance. If you would like to take the test, please come by and get a pass and a link to practice materials. 

  Attention! Middle School is having its first annual Talent Show on January 19th @ 7:30 pm, and we need you! If you are a 6th/7th/or 8th grader that can sing, dance, act, or simply wow the crowd, come audition after school on January 10th in the Theater. Sign-up for auditions through Managebac or the QR code posted in the cafeteria. Teachers! We need you too! Get your performances ready!
