Volleyball season is the only HCDE girls’ school sport in this season; however, club Lacrosse conflicts, so athletes will need to choose between lacrosse and volleyball in middle school.

A TENTATIVE match and January calendar is attached. A final calendar will be available at the Parent Meeting.

Prepare for Tryouts

Athletes interested in trying out for volleyball may sharpen their skills at open gyms and pre-season clinics. There is no charge for any of these events. Participation is not mandatory, nor is attendance required in order to try out.

Open gyms are a free play opportunity on December 29 and 30 from 9 – 10:45 a.m. in the Middle School Gym. Open gyms are supervised but no coaching instruction is provided - this is simply a fun opportunity for the girls to get in the gym and play a bit.

Two pre-season clinic dates, January 3 and 4 from 3 – 5 p.m. will feature drills and coaching instruction in preparation for tryouts.

Athletes should complete all items from the tryout checklist before participating in any of these events or tryouts.
