I am a proud, lifelong Chattanoogan. This magnificent city has so much to offer and it is a perfect fit for my family. I have two beautiful, intelligent girls (both college Sophomores!) who are night and day compared to one another, and a hard-working husband who I absolutely adore. Together, with our rescue pup, Charlie, the five of us enjoy playing games, hiking, watching movies, and traveling as much as possible. My husband and I are pretty big college baseball and football fans (Hail State! & Go Blue!), and we spend a lot of time enjoying that, as well.
Teaching is my second career. After graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science from UTC, I worked with The City of Chattanooga in the Environmental field for 8+ years. During that time I was heavily involved in Public Education and Outreach, discovering that my true passion for Science lies in sharing it with others. As such, I enrolled in the Graduate Program at UTC, completing most of the program while I was still working with The City. After graduating, I spent a great deal of time subbing in various Hamilton County Schools before finally landing on Signal at SMMHS in 2016, a place at which I truly love working.
I am very excited to begin the 2023-2024 School Year!!
